There are some really nice subtle touches in this mod, too. The player gets to control how the zombie outbreak plays out, and in a sandbox world like Skyrim, that means untold amounts of chaos and violence. This mod offers a variety of different zombie outbreak scenarios, each with different settings that can be customized at any time.

That's what 28 Days and a Bit 5 – Zombie Mutation is for. Sure, there are Draugr basically everywhere, and a few quests that are concerned with necromancy, but there's nothing like a full-fledged zombie breakout waiting in the wings, just underneath the surface of Skyrim's world. There are more mods like these I have installed, but these are the basics to get you started on a revamped Skyrim.Another popular fiction trope that Skyrim only touches the edges of, however, is the zombie. I recommend being at least level 45 or having a complete build before attempting these fights. Ultimate Dodge Mod: Mianly for 3rd person players (Like me) the ultimate dodge mod uses the sneak dodge animation, but binds it to a button (or key) of your choice, allowing you to have a roll type feature present in other games such as Dark Souls.ĭeadly Bosses of Skyrim: Now this is a hardcore mod that introduces many Souls inspired bosses into the game which in many cases will one shot you if you come unprepared (might want to sneak into Bleak Falls Barrow with this installed since you stand no chance against the first boss) this mod is intended for higher level players who are looking for challenging fights around Skyrim. It also balances out the Legendary damage outputs so you do 6.00x more damage to enemies, but they also do 6.00x damage to you. This is the main mod you want installed, and will offer a more realistic approach to combat making sure youve prepared for encounters, and are ready to take on challanges on the fly. Wildcat: Up your settings to Legendary with this mod installed, it introduces injuries which make combat x10 more fleshed out, and enemies are more intelligent in combat. If you're like me and want a challenge then I recommend you install these mods to achieve that (and yes I know you shouldn't have to rely on mods in the first place for a good combat experience, but frankly that's the problem here)

My biggest gripe with the Elder Scrolls series is the lack of a dyanamic combat system that we see in other RPG games such as The Witcher, Dragon Age, Dark Souls, ect.
